We are so excited to share that Love Does is growing in India!

Right now, we have a Girls Home and a Boys Home in Bangalore, led by our incredible Country Director, Aphao, and his wife, Zaime. Together, they have been caring for children and helping them build brighter futures filled with hope, safety, and opportunity.

Aphao is originally from Manipur, a beautiful but remote region in Northeastern India. The area has faced years of conflict, economic challenges, and limited access to education. Many young people there grow up without the chance to go to school or find a stable job. Families often struggle to break cycles of poverty, and opportunities for change are few.

That’s why we’re so excited to share that we’re building a school in Manipur!

Set to open in February 2026, this school will offer more than just academics. It will provide children and youth with life skills, technology training, and a strong foundation with a character based education.  This new school will help lift up an entire community by creating access to education, building purpose, and sparking transformation that reaches far beyond the classroom. At Love Does, we believe education changes everything.

We cannot wait to see this dream come to life and to share more as the school takes shape. Something truly beautiful is happening in India.

We just celebrated one incredible year of the Love Does Boutique in Lutsk, Ukraine! What a beautiful, hope-filled day it was. Around 140 women joined us, some expecting, others with newborns in their arms, and even a few whose husbands were granted short leave from the front lines.

The day began with a short ceremony honoring the hospital team and our partners, followed by a raffle where moms received vouchers for massages and self-care, reminders that they deserve to be cared for and celebrated. Throughout the afternoon, the women joined in pilates, sound therapy, and time in the Boutique choosing baby and maternity essentials. The space was full of laughter, tears, and connection. The manager of the venue told us he had never seen anything like it, calling it “a celebration of love in the hardest times.”

A young mother from the Donetsk region, seven months pregnant, told us that she has no family left to support her. Her parents stayed under occupation, her husband is on the front lines, and she is alone in Lutsk. At the anniversary she said:

“Here I didn’t feel like a refugee or a burden. I felt like a woman again.”

Over the past year, more than 800 women have come through the Boutique, each one a story of courage and hope. Thank you for helping make this possible. Because of your support, love really does amazing things.

When we opened our after-school program in the Holy Land in 2023, our dream was simple: to create a safe place where kids from all backgrounds could learn, grow, and thrive. Two years later, that dream has become even more meaningful.

Amid the heartbreak and heaviness of war, the school has become more than classrooms and lessons, it has become a family. A place where love shows up when it’s needed most.

We are humbled and proud to share that 100% of the students who started with us are still with us today. For children carrying struggles far bigger than schoolwork, this consistency is a victory worth celebrating. It’s possible because of teachers who show up every day with open arms, helping their students not only succeed in their studies but also heal, hope, and believe in themselves again.

This after-school program is more than education, it’s love in action. Every story of improvement, every small success, every bright smile is proof of that.

Last week, we had the honor of awarding six college scholarships inside San Quentin to an incredible group of men. The Love Does Scholarships are more than just financial support, they remind us that education can open new doors of opportunity. They affirm that, no matter where we are, our stories are still unfolding and some of the best chapters are yet to be written.

One recipient couldn’t attend the ceremony, so a friend delivered his certificate back to his cell. Overcome with emotion, he said, “I thought God had forgotten about me. I didn’t think I was worthy.”

Another recipient shared, “thank you again for the scholarship, it was a true blessing and I’m inspired to use it to help other people and make a difference. I want to build this country up, and help the community while doing it.”

And lastly, an incarcerated person who is pursuing work in the Deaf community, said, “I thank you for believing in my mission and encouraging me to dream big. Forevermore, my work in ASL interpreting and Deaf education will be embedded with the DNA of Love Does.”

These stories are a powerful reminder that when we show up with love, hope multiplies.

This summer, we think something extraordinary unfolded in Jordan. Children from Gaza, who had been evacuated by St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to receive cancer treatment suddenly found themselves far from home, in hotels, facing long days filled with uncertainty and loss. So as soon as we heard about these kids, we did what Love Does always strives to do—step in with belonging, hope and even joy.

Our country director said it best:

“You can’t say you love kids and then do nothing for them.”

We launched a Love Does Summer Camp, and 125 children showed up. For days we played, laughed, broke up a few fights, but also reminded each other of something bigger than fear: we can still choose peace. These children, caught between war, trauma, and illness, needed love, care, and personal attention more than anything—and this summer, that’s what they received.

As camp came to a close, we held a Back-to-School event, placing fresh supplies in little hands so they could walk into the fall with courage and confidence. But this isn’t the end. Out of this summer, something lasting is beginning: the Love Does Community Learning Center in Jordan. It will carry forward the spirit of the camp, offering education, encouragement, and care for children and families displaced by conflict and illness.

What we witnessed this summer is a reminder that even in the hardest places, love makes room for healing, and peace can take root one small step at a time.

At the end of June, our Love Does team and some friends went to Poland to celebrate the graduation of our students at the Love Does School for Ukrainian refugees.  These students have faced unexpected and unimaginable challenges over the past few years.  Many have escaped Russian occupation and left everything behind including family members fighting on the front lines.

Burkina Faso is home to our Love Does School situated just outside the capital, Ouagadougou. The Love Does School not only provides education to children, but also provides a daily meal and a place to belong. The current building provides 8 classrooms and we are doubling our capacity given the growing demand.

This is the only school in the region, and it’s become a source of hope and admiration throughout the community. Many families in the surrounding areas are eager to enroll their children, so we expanded to build a separate secondary school.

Construction on the new building was completed at the end of June and now we need your help to furnish it and welcome even more students through the doors!

In honor of World Giraffe Day, we’re doing something special — launching our brand new Love Does Giraffe Themed Baby Merch Collection and sharing a heart-lifting update on our Giraffe Sanctuary in Uganda.

What started as a lighthearted suggestion — “Let’s build a zoo!” — like so many things at Love Does, the moment turned into a bold idea. Now, that idea is becoming a real giraffe sanctuary in Northern Uganda.

We are excited to partner with the Uganda Wildlife Authority to help increase the Nubian giraffe population and expand their habitat! These gentle giants will be the heart of the Love Does Giraffe Sanctuary, a space for conservation, education, and wonder, right next to our up and coming Restore University.

The vision is bold: a place where students study science and justice and look out their classroom window to see giraffes, a reminder that the impossible is possible.

Wrap your baby in love that reaches all the way to Uganda!

At Restore Leadership Academy, we have so much to celebrate. This past year, our students excelled academically and athletically. We ranked number 60 out of 1,000 and our girls’ soccer team is proudly representing the school at the national level.

Now, we’re working toward something new and exciting: building a music program and a full marching band. $25,000 will help us secure drums, trumpets, guitars, keyboards, saxophones, and a professional sound system installed in our main hall! Music is a powerful tool for building discipline, creativity, and unity, and a marching band will give our students a meaningful way to express their pride and joy.

We didn’t set out to start a food program, we set out to love our neighbors. Right now, that looks like showing up with food and staying to have meaningful conversations with the people we meet. One Thursday back in 2021 we packed a few bags of groceries to deliver. The next Thursday we packed a few more. We blinked, and suddenly we delivered over 15,900 bags of groceries, overflowing with 153,600 pounds of produce and dry goods.

Throughout the week, we deliver to schools for students experiencing homelessness, single moms, seniors, veterans and still every Thursday, we hop in the Love Does Mobile Food Pantry to connect with 70 families in what we call the Neighbor to Neighbor program. Fourteen wonderful partners have jumped in with us, and somehow this beautiful, joy-filled thing keeps growing.

We don’t measure success in spreadsheets. We measure it in smiles, honks from passing cars, and the kid who shouts “THE FOOD PEOPLE ARE HERE!” before we’ve even stopped the van. If you see us on the road this Thursday, give us a honk. Happy National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month!
